Strategic Outsourcers

Profit Maximisation From Online Writing

Writing Workshops – Are Writing Workshops Right For You?

By Barry Walls • Jun 17th, 2009 • Category: Recent

Writing workshops are a waste of time if your goal is to maximise your income as fast as possible.

The purpose of the Outsource Secrets course is to turn you into a “good enough” writer within an afternoon. It’s just that easy!

Your goal is to write for webmasters and to produce simple articles of 500 words for between $15 and $20 per article in less than 8 minutes.

At the full rate of pay, this is equivalent to $150 per hour.

Of course, it is very unlikely that you will ever $150 per hour because this would require working at 100% efficiency…very difficult.

$100 per hour is the real target so that you don’t have a heart attack! When I speak to writers about the goals of the course, they are normally sceptical…at the start.

The three components of the strategy which we teach are to get enough writing within two weeks, to do the writing from start to finish in eight minutes or less and to get enough clients to generate a full diary, week in week out.

On their own, each of these is difficult to do without the right knowledge.

Combined together, they are nearly impossible to get right without years of experience and training.

One of the great strengths which allowed me to put the course together was my huge spending on sites like Elance and guru.com as a webmaster.

Being able to see the buyer side of the equation and apply those lessons to the writer side has given me a unique perspective into exactly what you can do to stuff your diary with as much work as you need top rates of pay.

The course won’t teach you how to become a good writer.

The reason is that you don’t need to be.

What I will teach you is exactly what webmasters want from a freelance writer.

Webmaster work is like plankton on freelance sites and I’m going to take you from being a minnow and turn you into a humped back whale so that you could scoop up tonnes of this work any time you want.

The writing produced on the web is simple, fast and high-paying.

Of course, most freelance writers don’t earn more than $100 per day because the strategies and profit maximising thought processes are missing from their business.

WRITING WORKSHOPS WEAKNESSES

This weakness allows new, but well trained writers (well trained in the business of writing, not in writing itself) to go into this space and quickly demolish the curve as far as earn rates are concerned.

One of the biggest hurdles I come across on my coaching program is to help writers unlearn the lessons they learned in writing workshops.

These workshops are generally very good value for teaching people how to write in a creative way, but in terms of maximising income, they really do set writers back a huge amount.

The speed at which writers can and should be able to write on the internet is one of the keys to earning a huge income.

Creative writing workshops have a tendency to produce extremely slow, methodical writers. It is for this reason that these writers need to be retrained and untaught when they decide to turn writing into an income producing activity. If your goal is to maximise your profits, stay away from the creative writing workshops.
